Policy
Sourcing Policy
Draft prepared for review · Wocsom Forwarding Ltd
Wocsom Forwarding Ltd arranges the sourcing, movement and customs clearance of goods imported into the United Kingdom. This policy sets out how we choose and manage the suppliers and partners we work with on behalf of our clients.
Supplier selection and vetting
- We assess a supplier before we place business with them, looking at trading history, references, production capacity and any relevant certifications.
- Where a client is importing a new product, we request samples and, where practical, arrange inspection before the order is confirmed.
- We favour suppliers who can evidence consistent quality and clear, reliable communication.
Quality and product safety
Goods imported into the UK must meet the relevant product safety, conformity and labelling requirements. Where we are engaged to do so, we check that the documentation and conformity marking match the goods before shipment, and we raise any concern with the client promptly.
Ethical and responsible sourcing
We expect the suppliers we work with to comply with the applicable laws on labour, health and safety and the environment. We do not knowingly work with any supplier that uses forced, bonded or child labour. This is set out further in our Modern Slavery Statement.
Compliance
We work within UK customs and import rules and expect suppliers to provide accurate and complete documentation for every consignment.
Review
We review this policy from time to time and update it as our business and the regulatory environment change.
